Bungalows San Isidro

We were there in March for three nights as a couple with our five-year-old, and loved the place. Bungalow number 8 had a lovely view from the dining room window and an even better one from the bedroom balcony. It was well heated and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We booked the barbecue area ahead of time and used it on our second day. On our last day, our flight got moved to the evening, and Jorge was incredibly kind to let us use the area again since no other guest was using it. The cleaning staff were fantastic, too. There aren't grocery stores or supermarkets nearby, which is a bit tricky if you're traveling by bus like we were. With some planning, though, it wasn't too bad. Thanks for everything. We'll be back!

We were really grateful to Eileen and Jorge for letting us extend our stay by a day at the last minute after our flight changed and while we were recovering. They were so helpful and warm, and we'll definitely return. We stayed at Bungalow San Isidro and loved the view. The little terrace was great for breakfast or just taking in the scenery. The bungalow was practical and comfortable, with a kitchen where we could cook every day, plus daily cleaning and towel changes. It rained during our stay, and we also got sick, so we spent quite a bit of time indoors. The heating in the bedroom, living room, and bathroom worked very well, and the view and surroundings meant we were still comfortable and didn't feel we were wasting a day. Buses pass frequently right by the door, and it takes about 15 minutes to reach the city center or Cerro Catedral.

The path down to the lake was peaceful, and the big barbecue area had everything we needed. We also loved the beautiful, carefully kept garden. Jorge, Mariela, and Romina made us feel so welcome and comfortable the whole time. The lake view from the master bedroom balcony was stunning. There was a large window in the dining room with that same view, lovely for any meal or afternoon tea. We found the quiet we needed to relax as a family and recharge for the work year. The facilities feel luxurious, with a lovely lake view and private parking. My only complaint is that the floor was quite dirty. We have a baby, and noticed it when he started crawling.
