It was very clean, and they supplied towels and soap. The place itself is nice and the service was good, but for the price it needs better maintenance. The mattress and pillows were sagging and really need replacing; the sheets and comforters were old, and there weren’t any kitchen utensils. The stove has just one burner, which made cooking incredibly difficult. At night, noises in the wall kept us awake. A shame about those details.

The owners were excellent with their attention. The bathrooms are large, the beds are comfortable with good mattresses, and there’s air conditioning. The view is excellent too.

There’s a deck that’s lovely for breakfast or drinks, and the view is lovely as well. Our cabin was for five and was clean, with all the kitchen utensils we needed for a few days. It’s about 10 minutes from the town center. There’s a designated parking area for cabin guests, but you have to leave your car on the street.

Thanks for hosting us, Diego and family! The cabin is very well equipped, and the view from every room is spectacular. It’s away from the city center, but only a few blocks from Pioneros Avenue, with all its shops.

We stayed in the cabin for five in summer, and the setting was the thing I loved most. Every room has windows looking out over a garden full of cherry and plum trees, lavender, and roses, with Lake Nahuel Huapi and the mountains beyond. There’s also a balcony enclosed with decking and a little table, a lovely spot to sit or eat surrounded by all that scenery. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated, with clean bedding, comfortable mattresses, and blankets. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and cutlery, a microwave, stove, large fridge with freezer, and electric kettle. There’s cable TV in the living room and main bedroom, and heaters in every room. We used the bedroom heaters one day and they worked perfectly. I think there was air conditioning in the bedroom, but the cabin stays so cool in summer that we didn’t need it. The shower had good pressure and temperature, and the hot water lasted a long time. Everything worked perfectly. Having a car makes the location convenient. A main avenue is three blocks away, with a bakery, rotisserie, supermarkets, grocery stores, pizzeria, laundromat, and more. The cabin is above the avenue, though, so walking back means a fairly steep climb. Driving wasn’t an issue, and there’s a paved road alongside that avoids the steepest section. I’m not sure what access is like in a snowy winter, so I’d check. It’s about 15 minutes to the city center, five to the Cerro Otto cable car, 25 to the start of the Circuito Chico, Cerro Campanario and Playa Bonita, and about 15 minutes to the road for Cerro Catedral. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the price felt like good value. They let us pay by Mercado Pago transfer, which was great since we didn’t have to carry cash everywhere. We’d definitely choose them again. A couple of things to consider: the route from the parking lot to the cabin goes uphill, with stairs in several places, so it could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. Ask the owner about access, and bear in mind that carrying heavy luggage up and down those stairs could be a challenge. If steep roads are a concern, ask the owners about other routes. The cabin is in a beautiful wooded area. We saw seven small spiders inside over eight nights, as well as fireflies. It wasn’t a serious issue for us, but if that would bother you a lot, I’d check with the hosts.
