Cabañas Detras del Ciprés

Marcelo and Gabriela were kind and attentive from our first reservation contact right through to departure. The cabins are set in a fairytale-like forest, with flowers, plants, and native trees all around. They’re comfortable, fully equipped, easy to reach, and well placed for activities on the Circuito Chico, with downtown Bariloche just a 20-minute drive away.

We booked for two families. My family’s room was fine, but the other family’s room on the first floor was in terrible shape. The beds were soaked and had been changed, and it looked like they’d been moved from the previous room, which was a studio apartment. The floor was extremely wet; the owner only brought towels to keep the water from spreading. At almost midnight, the only option he offered was to refund our money and have us find somewhere else. He didn’t offer any other kind of refund despite the condition of the place.

The owners were attentive, the place was very clean and comfortable, and the heating and hot water were good. They allow pets, too. There were a few issues: the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the studio apartment at all, and the advertised parking for two vehicles, including the space next door, was only big enough for one car. The other had to stay near the entrance gate. We could also hear all the noise between the two studio apartments.

The cabin was well equipped and had very good heating. There were two of us, so I can’t say how it would be with more people. The Wi-Fi was quite limited, but that seemed to be an issue with the provider. The owners were very friendly and attentive, and the value for money was very good. They could replace the televisions and improve the lighting around the grounds to make the experience even better. Highly recommend. I hope to return soon.
