Costa Brava Apart Hotel

We were disappointed with our stay and wouldn't return. The lakefront location and apartment are beautiful, but the service was poor. We arrived a little before check-in and weren't allowed onto the property until 3. The explanation for not letting us wait in the common area made no sense. At check-in, the receptionist asked for details for a second credit card, even though we'd already entered everything when booking. She couldn't access that information and made it our problem. They repeatedly stressed that we'd be charged extra if we weren't off the entire property, not just out of the room, by exactly 10 a.m. on checkout day. There were extra fees for leaving the kitchen less than spotless, getting a stain on a towel, and other things. I've never asked for a taxi and only been handed a taxi company's number, especially when our phone provider had no signal at the hotel. I've also never had to pay extra for another roll of toilet paper. I should have read the reviews before booking. They treated us just as unfriendly and unprofessionally as they respond to criticism.

The rooms are in impeccable shape. The bathroom wall and floor coverings aren't modern, but they're in perfect condition. I found the price very reasonable and would happily return. The resort looks just like the photos, with unbeatable views and immaculate recreational areas. The pool is just the right temperature and looks out over the lake. The pool and gardens deserve a special mention, everything is spotless, tidy, clean, and tastefully maintained. Kayaks are available, though their use is restricted. It would be great if daily room cleaning were included in the price.

A lovely park and, best of all, the pool! It's a peaceful spot away from traffic and noise, but still close to all kinds of places to explore, including lakes and hiking.
