Hostería Valle de Sol

The hostería and gardens were lovely, and our room was comfortable and clean. Juan and the rest of the staff were attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, and it was great value for money. One of the best places we stayed during our six-week trip.

The staff were attentive and the price was good. Getting there by public transport was the one awkward part.

We liked being outside the bustle of downtown Bariloche. It was peaceful there, and still convenient for getting around the area. The stay was harder for work because the Wi-Fi didn't reach our room at all. Breakfast also fell short: the coffee was cold, and one morning they served an open jar of dulce de leche. We ended up bringing our own food and drinking mate. Hot coffee and a bit more care with how breakfast is served would help. There was noise from events the owners held during our stay, so resting was difficult. Quiet hours would make a difference. Housekeeping was missed on some days, and shampoo and soap weren't replaced. We also hadn't been told to leave the key if we wanted service. The inn could be clearer about what services it provides and make sure those are delivered. With some attention to these things, staying here could be much more enjoyable. 😉

We never made it to the place, since a personal matter kept us from traveling. Still, Laura was so kind from the start, and understanding and gracious when we let her know we had to cancel. We’re grateful for her hospitality, and we’ve already booked our next trip there. Thanks so much!! Dani and Gonza.
