Hotel Bariloche Flat

The noise was awful, and the hotel looked ugly and dirty overall. Humidity was really high too. And the supposed parking lot was just a car parked on the sidewalk.

The hotel was clean, though it could use some updating. Wind made the windows bang against each other, so our room was really noisy.

The view and location were lovely, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. The carpets looked visibly dirty, breakfast was very basic, and there was no shampoo or conditioner. Our room had no towels at first; the ones we got after asking were wet and even dirty. The heating didn't work, there were very few outlets, and the TVs were quite old.

The smell in the room was awful, a mix of damp and dirt, and the carpets were stained with an unbearable odor. When I opened the bed, the sheets were covered in hair, and the bathroom was dirty too. The room phone didn't work at all, not even a dial tone. The receptionist was very friendly, and I honestly felt sorry for him having to work there. He told me to contact them on WhatsApp. I had paid for EVERYTHING, with the reservation by bank transfer and the rest in cash when I arrived. They wouldn't refund anything until I threatened to report them. Then a rude woman called and shouted, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" I answered, and she said, "We're only going to refund the cash; the rest is your risk because of the reservation." I told her that wasn't right and that I'd file a complaint with Consumer Protection. After that, she yelled, "File whatever complaint you want, they won't pay any attention to you!" Very classy, that woman. I recorded the whole conversation. They still haven't returned the 150,000 I transferred, even though I sent them my username on WhatsApp. Once I'm back in Buenos Aires, I'm going to complain to Consumer Protection and the Bariloche Tourism Office. As a lawyer, I don't pay fees, so I'll keep pursuing this until I get my reservation money back. PLEASE DON'T GO TO THAT HOTEL. IT'S DEPLORABLE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS LIKE I WAS.
