Hotel Patagonia Sur

The views are beautiful.

We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely go back. The room was lovely and had a nice view. There were no electrical outlets near the bedside table, but we managed. It was hot and there was no ventilation, so we contacted reception and they quickly brought us a fan. We had breakfast and dinner included. Neither was self-service, but the food was good, there were plenty of dishes to choose from, and the waiters and cooks were attentive. At dinner, you could go back for seconds, which I especially appreciated since some hotels don’t allow that. Breakfast was good too, and my son was happy to have his favorite fruit available to help himself to each morning. The hotel was in an excellent, very central location, and being connected to another hotel made access easier. We went the week of January 19th.

I stayed Monday through Saturday this week, and it was definitely worth it. The staff were excellent and very attentive. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a minibar, soap, shampoo, conditioner, a decent TV with basic cable, and a comfortable bed. Things dried quickly, so I could relax between excursions. I chose the self-service breakfast, which had lots of options. I didn’t try dinner, but my room was near the dining area, and I could see a wide choice, from meat dishes to pasta. I highly recommend it.

We stayed here with family in February during our visit to San Carlos de Bariloche. The hotel is in the city center, just a few meters from Mitre Street, close to the pedestrian area and civic center, with easy access to transportation. It felt safe and quiet. Because Bariloche has steep slopes, access is via the hotels on Moreno Street. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a good mattress and pillows. Sound insulation was adequate, at least on the 6th floor, and the Wi-Fi was very good. The mini-fridge worked perfectly once I checked and adjusted its temperature. The electrical outlets were a little far apart, but the two power strips I brought solved that. During our summer stay, the room felt a bit warm because the window was only 30x40 cm and there was no ceiling or floor ventilation. Breakfast had a range of sweet and savory foods, all good quality and regularly replenished. It was served from 7:30 to 10:30. The staff were friendly and responsive, common areas were spotless, and bathrooms were cleaned daily. We had a very positive experience and would definitely return. I’d recommend it for families, couples and business travelers.
