Hotel Tirol

The hotel had no water, so we couldn’t use the shower or toilet at all. I understand that this can happen, but the way they handled it was poor. They had us fill in all the forms before telling us, then offered either a discounted stay or a move to a lower-rated hotel. They insisted we’d have to pay the remaining amount first.

The room had a great lake view, the service was very friendly, and breakfast was very good. It’s easy to explore Bariloche on foot from here or catch a bus to Circuito Chico, and the value for money is excellent. My one suggestion: a double bed with one mattress would be more comfortable than two mattresses.

The receptionist was so kind and helpful that I was tempted to give the stay another star, despite the Wi-Fi. It was extremely slow and unreliable, frustrating even for basic tasks. The location is great and the views are stunning. The owner really needs to invest in a better internet connection, which would make a big difference. Otherwise, it’s a good hotel with lots of potential.

The breakfast selection is limited, and the coffee is average. Still, the rooms are clean, large, and look newly renovated, with good soundproofing and reasonable prices. The lake view rooms have lovely scenery, and the location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from Centro Cívico. There’s free parking and the service is warm. For value for money, this is easily my top choice in Bariloche, and the hotel I’ll book again when I return.
