BAH Congreso by iPPA

The main thing I can say is that BAH CONGRESO by iPPA is advertised as a hotel, but it didn't feel like one at all. My stay from January 11 to January 22, 2026 was exhausting and deeply disappointing. The room looked attractive in the pictures, the layout was good, and the building itself was nice. The neighborhood isn't the best in Buenos Aires, but with a police station across the street, we felt safe the whole time. The building also has a gym and pool. Guests can't use the BBQ, which is for property owners only. We arrived at 4:00 AM and waited outside for almost an hour. They say service is available 24 hours, but there wasn't anyone to help. The virtual check-in instructions were confusing and incomplete. The keys weren't at the main entrance, but hidden by the parking entrance on a wall where they were hard to see. Someone leaving the building had to show us where the lockbox was and how to get in. The apartment was dirty and poorly maintained, and the AC didn't work in temperatures of 35-38°C. We made several complaints, then gave up because the woman we spoke to kept complaining about her boss and her own problems instead of fixing ours. A property owner told me this was a regular residential building with many problems, and said these people were pretending to be a hotel while renting units short-term. That made the situation feel even fishier. The sheets were cheap, rough, and uncomfortable, the pillows smelled bad, and the mattress cover was covered in lint balls. We had to flip it over and sleep on the hard side. The burners were locked until someone came to unlock them, and nobody took the garbage out. The bathtub was completely blocked. When I reported it, with water spreading across the bathroom floor, they asked me for pictures as if they didn't believe me. There was a persistent bad smell in the bathroom. Its door wouldn't close or lock properly, and the front door also needed to be double-checked each time because it didn't shut well. On January 12, they emailed me: “Good morning, thank you for contacting us. On this occasion, are you here for work or leisure? I ask because I need to direct your inquiry based on that. If you are here for work, we can modify your reservation and apply a corporate rate.” I told Agustin Argañaraz, the Head de venta B2B, that I was there for work and asked how they'd refund the difference for the corporate rate. They never made the change or explained how or when the money would be returned, and then stopped replying altogether. I'd already paid for several days in advance. The experience felt misleading and the management was unacceptable, even though this place could have been good. Don't stay here. Save your time, money, and peace of mind and find somewhere else.
