Our stay at this hostel was terrible because of the two guys we were put in a room with, who we think were living there. They made life miserable for us. Late into the night, when we wanted to sleep, they played movies on their phones without headphones, kept switching on the light, and talked loudly to each other, showing no respect for the fact we were trying to sleep.
A really good hostel with staff who were very helpful. It's outside Buenos Aires city center, but in a very good spot near bars and restaurants typical of the city.
The service was pretty good, and the place has very good central heating. It's a shame about the bugs in the rooms. I couldn't sleep all night because there were bugs in the bed, and they urgently need to fumigate. They also don't seem to check who comes and goes, so they should ask for ID when checking people in. The place itself isn't bad, and I think it could be excellent if they fixed those two issues.
I really love this place and would love to have enough money to buy one of the rooms facing the avenue. The owners are really nice, and I'd never leave, even though, like anywhere, there are good people, bad people, dirty people, and gossipers. I highly recommend it. And if there are bugs, it's because people aren't keeping their rooms clean. That's personal and reflects each person's hygiene.
There are cockroaches because they don't fumigate, and the cleaning is shoddy and mediocre. Clothes left out to dry get stolen. The owner doesn't even check the security cameras, which is disgraceful. He's aggressive, and so is his partner.
