The room was clean and fresh, with a very comfortable bed, a kettle, and a fridge. I can't remember staying anywhere with better lighting. But there was no desk, which was the reason I booked the room. I go bird watching and need a place for my computer so I can check the day's pictures. That was a big minus. There wasn't a shower either, just a bathtub to shower in. On weekends, there was terrible noise from young people having a good time outside the hotel. I was out looking for birds every morning, so I didn't have breakfast until my last day. It was good: no omelette, just scrambled eggs, but the sausage and fresh bread were good.

I chose this hotel partly because it's in Palermo and the area feels very safe. The main drawback was the thin walls. I could hear people in neighboring rooms moving chairs and doing other things, especially when there were kids nearby. I didn't hear much from outside through the window, but noise carried clearly through the walls. Apart from that, everything was okay.

The location is the best part, and the staff are amazing and very helpful. My room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was nice. This is an excellent hotel, and I'd definitely come back.

The location is good and the reception staff are friendly, which is why I gave two stars instead of one. During my 10-day stay, the keycard kept expiring, and I had to go to reception five times to get it reactivated. The WiFi was unstable, and the walls are thin enough that I could hear next door's conversations, people banging around upstairs, and street noise. I'm a light sleeper, so earplugs are needed. They also charged an extra 40,000 ARS for late checkout. That feels like penny-pinching for a hotel calling itself “4 star.” Whenever they get a somewhat critical review, lots of 5-star reviews seem to follow right away to bury it. Strange.
