I had a reservation from 10th to 14th February 2016 and had already paid in advance. When I arrived at midnight, I found the hostel closed for maintenance. Nobody had informed me. I spent an hour walking around looking for another hostel.

The location and price were good, and the attendants were kind and helpful despite the poor facilities. But the kitchen was very dirty, with the rubbish bin overflowing and the fridge even worse. There were so many cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen that they could rename the place Che Barata. At night, loud music and other guests talking carried on past 01:00, so it was impossible to sleep. The rooms were large, but the mattresses were very old. I stayed seven nights at the start of January 2016.

The place and the service were great. Hot water for showers doesn't last long, though, and if you're going in winter, bring an extra blanket. Some rooms get really cold.

I had a wonderful time here and found it a great place to relax and meet people from all over while sharing a barbecue in the covered patio. Everything else was perfect, though the patio light needs fixing. Thanks a million!

I really liked the place and stayed at this hostel for more than a week. We did have a problem with the bathroom, but it didn't interfere with the stay.
