Deco Collection

The location is the only good thing. The rooms don’t look like the online photos, and this is nowhere near a four-star hotel, more like a 2.5. Staff were rude, and the bathroom had mold and rust. The mattress felt ancient, like it had been picked up off the street and covered with fresh sheets. TVs are tiny, the WiFi is open and unsecured, and the flooring and wall trim from the renovation are uneven. There’s also a connecting door to the next room with only a tiny latch. The photos show the actual condition.

The rooms were clean, and the stay was okay for a few days, but getting proper sleep was hard. People were loud around the building, including kids screaming in the common area while their parents didn’t keep them under control. Other guests seemed to have little regard for anyone else. Doors slammed shut, and early in the morning the cleaners banged things around in the next room.

The hotel itself is nice, but the staff completely spoiled the experience for me. I came from Canada 🇨🇦, and the lady and man at the pool, along with the cleaning staff, were rude and intrusive because I was literally one minute late. I have timestamped photos if proof is needed. Asking for my room number is standard, but they also wanted my first and last name, even though I was the only person staying in the room. I paid hundreds of dollars and expected basic respect. This didn’t feel like the warm Argentinians you’d expect, and it didn’t feel like a five-star or even four-star stay.

The room was comfortable and the shower had great pressure. It’s a no-frills place, well located near Recoleta, with cute coffee shops and a wine bar nearby.
