Gurruchaga Palermo

The place was so quiet and friendly, and the location was great, with a cool street by day and even nicer evenings. The air conditioning mattered, and the indoor common area was really comfortable. Upstairs, the patio was a lovely extra, though we stayed away when the sun was out. There are six rooms, lots of funky art, two clean bathrooms, and a very clean, useful kitchen with your own shelf in the fridge. Flor and Max were exceptional. We went to the wrong one of their three locations, and Max drove us to the right one. Flor also dropped everything to help me retrieve my phone after I left it in an Uber. This would be our first choice in the city again. A steal at this price, and book directly for the best rate if they have availability.

I spent a whole week here and really liked it. The manager was lovely and helped with everything I needed. It felt like home, and I plan to stay here again when I come back to Buenos Aires.

As a solo traveller, I felt safe and secure here. The location in the Palermo/Villa Crespo barrio made it easy to get to good milongas like Villa Malcolm and La Viruta, and the empanadas downstairs were delicious. I stayed for 10 days and loved the house's decor and comfort. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking the street was a treat, and it was hard to tear myself away to go out. Flor and Celso did so much to make the stay comfortable. I've already recommended the hostel to other students and travelers, and I'll use it again on my next trip to BA. Thank you so much!

The terrace, full of plants, brings a welcome bit of greenery to the city, and the casa itself is huge with a distinctive artistic style and furnishings. The kitchen is very new and has all the tools you need. There are two wifi networks and the bathrooms are kept stocked with shampoo and soap. The location is close to everything, and the hosts are really nice and available whenever an issue comes up. Definitely a great place for a comfortable private stay in Buenos Aires.
