It’s a very nice new passage through the city, and restaurants are planned there. The development did come at the cost of an old garden.
A nice passageway runs between Tita Tamanes' old house and the apartment building that was built beside it.
A lovely project, and a great way to recycle an old house in Buenos Aires.
There’s a good variety of restaurants here. Very good, I recommend them.
They destroyed a beautiful garden of trees, rose bushes, and jasmine, with its unmistakable fragrance, to put up yet another hideous tower with the same electrical wiring, sewage lines, and water supply as the other buildings. The mansion will surely end up rented out as a tacky, supposedly European fashion boutique or kitschy “restaurant.” You’ll get food like a traditional diner’s, only with a pretentious name, served on a giant square plate in tiny portions. This was a horrendous so-called “symbiosis between modernity and the rescue and enhancement of antiquity.”
