We were able to walk to Independencia Subte station, Plaza de Mayo, and Puerto Madero, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The San Telmo market is close too, so the location worked well for us. Reception is open from 1-6pm, but staff were easy to reach on WhatsApp outside those hours. When we left Buenos Aires for a short three-day trip to the Iguazu Falls, they kindly stored our backpacks for a small fee. Our room had both a fan and AC, so it never felt stuffy. There was lots of shelf space, and Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The shared bathrooms stayed clean, and with four across two floors, we rarely had to wait. There’s a small shared kitchen with room for two people to sit. The utensils and equipment are quite worn, but we had no trouble making simple meals. You’ll need to bring your own cooking oil and condiments. We had a very comfortable stay.

My Booking.com reservation had the wrong address, and it was nearly impossible to find the place. Google Maps shows front-of-building photos that don’t match. It’s just a plain door with no sign. Good luck!

The bedrooms are basic but comfortable, and there’s a kitchen to use plus a nice terrace. The shared bathrooms were clean, and we never had to wait for a shower. It’s simple accommodation, but clean and in a great location. I appreciated that they didn’t try to rip off tourists. The owner advertises a price and accepts that amount in cash on arrival. Bigger hostels in BA charge tourists close to twice the official rate when paying in ARS.
