Hotel Santa Cruz

I arrived in Buenos Aires today and went to the hotel hoping to stay for one night. The receptionist said I couldn't stay because my ID showed I was a city resident. I explained that I actually live in Italy, but she still couldn't accommodate me because I didn't have my Italian ID with me. For security reasons, I'd left it at my brother's house. I went to get it and came back 40 minutes later with the foreign ID, only to be told there were no rooms. It was more than obvious she was rejecting me simply because she didn't feel like accommodating me.

I stayed one night and got stuck in the parking lot for 40 minutes because of delays at the flower center, which everyone knows gets bad this time of year. I knew my lateness might cost me something, so before leaving I went inside to ask and thank them. As both a customer and a business owner, I figured they wouldn't charge me since there was plenty of parking. The receptionist was very friendly and seemed a little embarrassed, but said I owed $27,000 for the whole day. I agreed to pay, though I couldn't react that way to something like that. Then the owner came over, acting very arrogantly, and said I didn't have to pay if I didn't want to, but I wouldn't be returning to the hotel. I'm not one to be taken in, so I paid the $27,000 and left angry, like any guest would. I'll definitely never go back. There are plenty of better options.

We needed somewhere to rest after a recital and buy flowers, and it did the job. Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly.

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It's a hotel that gives you what you need for the price, nothing out of the ordinary. I laughed at some of the comments and reviews 🤣. Recommended if you want something good, nice, and cheap near Flores.
