Howard Johnson Plaza Buenos Aires Florida Street by Wyndham

I've stayed here countless times and truly love the hotel, which made this incident all the more upsetting. At 2 p.m. on May 12th, 2026, I had an altercation with the man working in the lobby. I came in to exchange money because the office is inside the hotel, and asked to use the restroom. He said I couldn't go in because I needed a key. I replied that the first floor doesn't require a key to access. He said I had to be a hotel guest, then walked me out. I came back later and asked how much I would have to pay to use the restroom. He said I couldn't enter and then yelled at me: “There is a Starbucks down the street. Go to other places.” I explained that the last time I came to exchange cash, they had let me use the facilities even though I wasn't a current guest. He said I had nearly made the other man lose his job and shouldn't have gone in. He used vulgar language and spoke loudly in an unwelcoming tone. The altercation was caught on the security cameras on the main entrance floor. I left without saying anything. It's disheartening to be treated this way by a place I thought was so prestigious.

The rooms are old, but they have what you need. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One day, they arranged breakfast earlier because we had to leave early, and the free luggage storage was easy to use, which was a plus.

The room was clean and well maintained, and the price was very good, though it felt a little tired. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke really good English if you need it. It's centrally located, within walking distance of shops and key tourist attractions. I'd definitely stay here again.

This place is fine, but you can't get there directly by car. You have to walk about half a block, so bear that in mind if you have a lot of luggage or are older.
