ibis Buenos Aires Obelisco

The room was extremely small and uncomfortable. The mattresses were very hard, the towels felt rough and worn, and shower holders kept falling off. The condition of the shower suggested the place wasn't being properly maintained. I was robbed nearby in broad daylight, which was deeply distressing and shocking, and the area felt unsafe. When we got back and asked about calling the police, staff barely acknowledged what had happened. They showed no concern, gave no practical guidance, and offered no support. That indifference was unacceptable in the circumstances. I'm extremely disappointed with ibis Buenos Aires Obelisco near the Obelisco in Buenos Aires. I've stayed at Ibis hotels in more than 50 countries, and this was without question the worst experience. It fell far below the standard I expect from Accor. I can't recommend this hotel.

All the staff communicated amazingly, and breakfast was consistently great. I really appreciated being offered an early check-in as a loyalty member. Thanks! This is definitely where I'll stay in Buenos Aires.

A fair hotel in a good location, with friendly staff. You know what an IBIS is like, and this one matched the others I've stayed in. The WiFi disconnected randomly in the afternoon and late at night, though it would reconnect soon after. Breakfast was perfectly OK. I personally preferred an espresso and an omelet. Get a few bottles of water before it gets too late in the evening, since the bar might close. There's a fountain, but you'll need a cup or something.

I was charged a daily hotel tax, and after what happened, I’m asking why they let a theater with blasting music and people screaming set up right in front of the hotel. My room was on the second floor facing Corrientes Street. On my last night, the noise went on until 3:30 am, and I had to get up at 4:30 for an important trip and a 6 am flight. I got no sleep. I fell in the street, hurt my knee and feet, cracked my phone screen, and the rest of the day was a total failure. They could have put the theater in a park, a square, or somewhere people don’t live, moved guests from the rooms beside it, or refunded us so we could sleep somewhere else. The room itself was clean and breakfast was good.
