ISI Baires Rental Apart & Suites

The room was filthy, and the Wi-Fi never worked. Staff kept saying they’d restart it, but nothing changed. They said they’d do a deep clean, then left my bag open and didn’t even make the bed until I got angry. The staff don’t speak English, the plugs don’t work, and the windows don’t close properly. The microwave is sitting over the sink, which makes the kitchen feel unsafe. Breakfast is a mess too. You have to reserve a time slot instead of just showing up during the opening hours. One elevator was broken, and the other is painfully slow and so small that you can wait up to 10 minutes. I’m here for work, and this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. If you hate someone and want to play a nasty prank on them, send them here. Otherwise, stay away.

The staff are kind and pleasant, but there are too many things wrong here to make it worth staying. We had a broken mattress that left our backs hurting every day, and on the last day the second elevator broke too. We spent 10 minutes trying to get down in time to catch the ferry. It was freezing inside. There’s no central heating, just an air conditioner that couldn’t warm the room, even after running on heat all night. The breakfast is basic and mostly pastries, bread, and sweets, though for what we paid I couldn’t expect much more. The worst problem was mold in both rooms we were first given. We eventually got a room without it, but that one could develop mold too: they hadn’t attached a drain hose to the AC, so the balcony wall stays wet and the moisture may eventually spread inside. Also, the balcony doors can’t be locked, so a neighbor could get in and steal from the room.

The rooms are big, comfortable, and bright, and even the Europeans in my group, who are very demanding, haven’t had any complaints. The service is wonderful for the price, and reception is always ready to help. I’ll book again next year!

For a long stay, the price was especially good if you wanted a bit of quality. It was a nice place to stay during that “eventuality,” and I’m glad I chose it.
