We had no natural light in our room, and the AC sat in a filthy light well. I suspect it was pulling dirty air inside, since we got sick after the first night. The room and bed were roomy and comfortable, though the bathroom was small but manageable. We didn’t use the pool, but liked the gym, sauna and steam room. Breakfast had a lot to choose from, but it was the same every day: scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes, sweet pastries and fruit. The small dining room got busy. Wi-Fi had a strong signal but seemed limited, with websites loading slowly and streaming basically out of the question. The elevators were temperamental, and only three people could use one at a time.

The hotel looks dated, and the lifts take ages. At 6 am on my checkout date, 8 Feb, the male receptionist asked me to pay the city tax again. I told him I’d already paid at check-in, but he said it also covered the day I checked out. I paid because I had to catch my flight. On the way to the airport I checked, and the tax was listed as “per person, per night.” So it seems he’d just scammed me. It was only $1.5, but receptionists scamming customers is unacceptable.

This place feels like a waste of money. Three saunas don’t work, and the two elevators eat up your holiday time. The air conditioner is obviously full of black mould and leaks water onto the floor day and night. The staff have a horrible attitude too. I don’t know how this hotel ended up in the four-star category. The pool is almost milk-white after what looks like an entire hotel’s worth of people using a 5m2 pool that hasn’t been changed in months. I haven’t even had breakfast yet, and honestly, I’m not looking forward to it.

Getting around from here was easy, and the location was good, though the neighborhood itself wasn't nice. The hotel looked ugly and poorly maintained. The shower swung between too hot and boiling. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location was the good part for me. The lobby looks quite nice, but most of the rooms are poorly maintained, even though they were clean. Breakfast was disappointing, with fewer options than I’m used to at 4-star hotels. I didn’t try the pool, though I saw lots of people saying it doesn’t exist 😅. So, three stars this time.
