Mitre Suites Hotel

The damp, smelly place was awful, but finding bed bugs was the worst part. We had to switch rooms, and both rooms were infested. All the sheets were dirty and stained too. Disgusting. Sleeping outside would probably be more hygienic.

I paid 40,000 a night, and breakfast wasn’t included. The bathroom was tiny and covered in limescale, and we killed a cockroach. There was cable and Wi-Fi, plus a bed, table, and two chairs, but the whole place felt very old and had no comfort or luxury.

The staff were friendly, but the lack of hygiene was far too much for me. I had to ask for another room because the one offered when we arrived was filthy. The new room had disgustingly dirty sheets, and the mattress was awful. I always bring good luck charms with me. The windows had no security at all. I travel a lot and usually don’t fuss, and I understand it’s an old hotel, but age doesn’t explain the hygiene problems. I don’t understand why Booking.com lists it. They could even be sued. I’d agreed to the price when I contacted them, but I don’t think it was worth it. There was no safety or cleanliness.

The booking information gave me a different impression from what I found on arrival. The place’s appearance left a lot to be desired. Quite a few things need work for the service to be good, especially the bathrooms, which were in poor condition, the unpleasant smell, the lighting, and the uncomfortable bed.
