NH City Buenos Aires

The bar food is excellent, and the service is very good. Antonio is such a lovely man, helpful and efficient, and nothing seems like too much trouble. On another visit, Marina recommended a nearby Italian restaurant that was super. Staff like them are an asset to City Hotel.

The only thing I can say positively is that the bed was clean. This is advertised as a five-star property, but my stay felt more like three-star. The elevators have no air conditioning, which was uncomfortable and didn’t seem acceptable for this category. There were power cuts at night and, shockingly, no generator, so basic amenities were unavailable. In the room there was no iron, just one towel per person, and one bathrobe to share between two guests. The mini-fridge was warm and didn’t cool properly, and there was no ice. Calls to both the front desk and room service were repeatedly ignored, making it hard to get help. The hotel needs significant improvements to its comfort, service, and infrastructure to meet five-star standards. As it stands, the rating feels misleading, though it could be a solid mid-range hotel with work.

I enjoyed my stay very much and hope to come back next year. The room was clean and nicely done, and the cleaning staff were very helpful, especially Roxana. Thanks to all of you. Rudy de Suiza

The staff were excellent, always kind and ready to help. Special thanks to Carlos Aurehhuliu, a true professional and a great person. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable, though rooms near the elevator can be a bit noisy, so I’d ask for one farther away. This was my second stay at the NH Hotel city in Buenos Aires, and I recommend it if you need somewhere downtown.
