Origen Hotel (Motel)

The room surprised me in a good way: it was in perfect order and very clean. But I had a bad night because other guests in our hallway were loud, playing music and keeping me awake. I complained and was told it was a short-stay hotel, which doesn't excuse the noise. It only quieted down around 7:00 AM. We mentioned it when leaving. The receptionist was very kind, and a room change might have fixed it, but not every shift seems to handle things the same way. It's a shame, because aside from that, the experience was very positive.

The bed was the biggest problem in both rooms we’ve tried. On our first visit we stayed in the Cinema room: it was spacious, with a lovely jacuzzi and bathroom, but the bed was disappointing. This time we booked Hydro VIP 3. The room looked nicely decorated and the bathroom was great, yet the mattress was so uncomfortable it felt no better than the floor. I know these rooms aren’t really designed around sleeping, but even a little comfort would make a huge difference for us. The jacuzzi seemed appealing until we turned it on. It was extremely loud, and the room hadn’t been cleaned well at all, with hair and marks all over. Breakfast was stale too: the croissants came out hot, then turned rock hard as soon as they cooled. The radio sounded awful, like being inside a microwave, and we couldn’t make out anything. And please add more bath foam. It’s a small detail, but it would help.

Eat before you go in. The food was awful, and even the fries were a tiny portion for 5,000 pesos, not enough to fill a plate. In general, the food just isn’t a good option.

My lover and I have a great time whenever we come here. Really excellent place.
