Palermo Bridge

The reception staff were very helpful, the Wi-Fi was good, and housekeeping came daily. The beds were comfortable too. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying more than two nights. This cannot be a 3-star hotel. As a global traveler, this is near the bottom of the hotel rooms I’ve ever booked: overrated, with misleading pictures. The standard room is tiny, not suitable for two twin beds or two adults. We knew breakfast wasn’t offered, but a bowl of free junk food isn’t appropriate. Dried crackers, chips, and sugary artificial juice are highly processed and unhealthy, and shouldn’t be used to entice guests. A kettle for tea is good, but Styrofoam cups are unhealthy because they contain phthalates, and they aren’t earth-friendly. The curtains have holes or stains and are dusty. The shower has dried mildew and rust in the corners and tile grout, which needs bleaching. The bathroom door is warped, with a deep ridge in the middle, apparently from an obstruction as guests slide it open and shut. It looks like a longstanding problem.
