Palermo Soho Loft

There was no toilet paper, and the promised breakfast never appeared. The service was terrible.

There wasn't even a reception desk or anyone around to ask for a towel change or raise a complaint with. The place is really just a set of rooms, not much of a hotel, reached by a very steep, narrow staircase that's hard to manage with luggage. Our room was roomy but smelled odd, and the bathroom was dirty-looking with broken fittings. The towels were filthy and had a strange smell; the sheets seemed clean, but they smelled unusual too. There was used soap left in the bathroom, which made me wonder if it had been cleaned at all. The bed itself was comfortable. The door had a strange-looking repair that made me feel someone could break in at any moment. I attached photos of what I saw so the owner can't dismiss this as a malicious review. Fortunately, we stayed only one night. The price is outrageously high for what you get, and the luxurious, elegant image they advertise doesn't match the reality.

Four street-facing windows brought plenty of daylight into the very spacious room. It was clean and had what we needed to eat in the room or order delivery, and the bathroom was roomy too. A very nice hotel, highly recommended.

The loft itself is spacious, attractive, and well located, and otherwise everything was very good. But it needs a mini-fridge and more cutlery. Reception was almost never staffed: after ringing several times at check-in, I found the manager at the bar on the other corner to get the keys. At checkout nobody was there either, so I locked up and left the keys with a waitress next door. They should improve that.
