Palermo Viejo Bed & Breakfast

Ariel helped us figure out where to go, arrange airport transport, and find good wine. Breakfast was simple but fine. It starts at 8am, which could be earlier.

Ariel was a wonderful host. The location is perfect and feels safe, the rooms are clean and have a/c, and breakfast comes with delicious bread and croissants. A great place to stay!

I’ve stayed at this B & B twice now, and it feels like my home away from home in Buenos Aires. It’s a great way to experience the Palermo neighborhood, in a quiet area that feels somewhat like living as an Argentinian. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, it’s private, and the wifi is excellent. There are great local restaurants nearby. Ariel makes you feel at home and loves sharing his knowledge of the city. When our AC broke, he had it fixed before bedtime. If that hadn’t worked, he was ready to move us to another room. We really appreciated everything he did. Estella serves a just-right breakfast: Ariel’s homemade bread, toppings, cereal, eggs, croissants, fresh juice, tea, or coffee. There’s a bus stop right across the street, and taxis are easy to hail for a very reasonable price. GRACIAS

You pretty much get what you pay for here. The room is comfortable, but the windows are thin, so traffic and other guests coming in can be heard. The walls are thin too, and noisy neighbors will carry. Breakfast is adequate and served daily from 8-11. The location is okay, though it’s about a 15 minute walk to the metro, which feels long after a day walking around BA. Uber is very cheap, under $5USD to get anywhere in the city, so I’d suggest Uber or a taxi over the metro if you stay here.
