Patios de Recoleta

The location is good and the bathroom was fine, but my room wasn't anything like the advertised photos. I booked a superior double expecting a beautiful room like the pictures. What I got was a hot, windowless box. When I complained politely, the receptionist was rude and pointed out that the room description doesn't promise a window. The hotel was apparently full, with no other rooms with windows available. It turns out only the triple rooms have windows, so I don't know how they can show all those photos when most rooms don't look like that. I cancelled my other bookings there. A different receptionist was kinder the next day and offered me a free breakfast voucher.

It was a nice change from the Airbnbs we'd been staying in. The building feels grand and looks gorgeous, and used to be an embassy. Our room was great, with a little balcony overlooking Pacheco de Melo Street.

The room was clean, and the maid came to clean it every day. Still, I was disappointed that the WiFi didn't reach my room. At 11pm I had to go down to reception to do research and make bookings. There were a few ants in the bathroom, and the shower was probably the tiniest I've ever seen. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others less so.

The location is awesome and the staff members are very nice, but the room is really old and the bathroom is terrible, with a very tight shower. The online photos don't match reality. If they had shown what it was really like, I wouldn't have booked.
