Booking confirmed my reservation, but the hotel then made me jump through hoops that weren't mentioned in the listing. They were very unfriendly and inflexible.

This feels like a scam. After I booked, they raised the price by 25% and demanded immediate online payment.

BEWARE OF THIS ACCOMMODATION. They demand prepayment through an external link to Booking.com, even though that's against the company's policy, and refuse to take responsibility. They say the reservation is held for only 20 minutes and will be canceled if you don't pay by then, which is completely illegal. When I said I wouldn't pay that way and was in the same city, so could come pick up the key, they told me to cancel and delete all the earlier messages.
