Peaceful and clean, a good fit for people who travel.

The staff were very helpful, but the facilities don't justify the price. The kitchen is dirty and short on utensils and accessories. The whole hostel has only four burners and maybe three or four pots, so using it is a hassle. For longer stays they first offer all the room amenities, then change the policy and ask guests to bring their own toilet paper and towels. The beds are old, with loose springs, and at night they don't turn on the heat, leaving only a thin blanket. Weekends are noisy all night because of other guests, so rest is impossible. For a short tourist visit it could work, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. Better equipped places are available for less.

I stayed for a month, and this place is always noisy. Close to 60 people live there and share one stove with just one cooking space. The kitchen has no oven and is infested with cockroaches. Public transport runs frequently all night along the avenue where the hostel is, and weekly marches and protests go by too. Two nightclubs nearby stay open Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. I'd only recommend it to people who want to party every day. If you need to study or sleep, it's not for you.

We lasted just one day before leaving in a hurry. The place was dirty and badly maintained, with deplorable facilities and a price far too high for what you get. There was no working AC or fan, and the elevator didn't work on our first night. It's noisy too, since the restaurant TV plays at full volume all day. Breakfast was awful: stale reheated bread, burnt croissants, and terrible juice. I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms leak wherever you look, and there's never hot water. The hostel is in very poor shape and badly managed. It's officially closed but still being run, and the manager seems to have little understanding of the job or ability to do it. The elevator is not authorized to operate, yet they keep using it after removing the out-of-service signs. Rooms and kitchen are shared with lots of cockroaches as well as other people. The Wi-Fi is terrible and the ceiling fans don't work. They charge extra for AC, which still doesn't work, but charge for it anyway.
