Tanguero Hotel Boutique Antique

The breakfast was simple but perfectly fine, in the usual Argentinian style. Atmospheric music in the restaurant made it a nice part of the experience. The hotel sits right in central Buenos Aires, within walking distance of Plaza de Mayo and many of the city's major sights. The building is old and decorated in a tango and 1920s style. It creates an unusual atmosphere, though it might feel like a lot at first. Despite its age, the hotel is very clean and well kept. Room quality varies quite a bit. Some are large but stuffy, with no natural light, windows that can't be opened, gray neighboring walls as the only view, and noisy air conditioning. Others are spacious and bright, with daylight. We were first put in a room that felt a bit oppressive. After we mentioned the noise from the air conditioning outside, the staff kindly moved us to a lovely, spacious, and much more comfortable room. We're very grateful. Their attentive, helpful service is a real plus. They also gave us wine and chocolates as a thoughtful customer care gesture, which we appreciated. We can definitely recommend the hotel. Just keep in mind that rooms can differ, so pay attention to the room type when booking.
