Cabañas Cafayate I

There was a nice outdoor area with a table and grill, and the owners gave us maps and information about sightseeing tours. The cabin itself was very comfortable, too.

We liked the quiet, the service, and the thoughtful details in the cabin. It was fully equipped, everything worked, and the parking spaces were roomy, though the canvas-like roof made me wonder whether it would hold up in hail. Shower pressure was low, and the Wi-Fi was just about enough for WhatsApp. Try downloading videos and you might be stuck waiting for days. The pool is more for a quick cool-off than a swim, since it's only around 60 cm deep. The cabin is reasonably comfortable for four, but five people would be a squeeze for more than a short stay. Maybe a bed downstairs would help, but putting three beds on a desk doesn't seem practical. We talked it over with the owner, who was kind, flexible, and understanding, and we reached an agreement. The gated community sits at the edge of Cafayate, with a lovely hill beyond it, but walking to the center takes a while, probably more than 15 blocks. There are quite a few houses still being built, which detracts from the surroundings. For value, it's somewhere in the middle. The idea and the quality are good.

We stayed in January 2023 and found the neighborhood peaceful, even with some houses still under construction. The large house was comfortable and had what we needed to enjoy a few days there. The owners looked after us from booking through arrival and were very kind and attentive. The gated community has security at the entrance. We had a really relaxing stay and would happily recommend it. We'll come back soon, God willing.

The scenery was beautiful, and everyone was so friendly. The cabins and the service were both excellent, making it a dream spot for an unforgettable break. Highly, highly recommended!
