Amerian Cordoba Park Hotel

Fine for a night or two, with breakfast, a small rooftop terrace, a pool, and a gym. The Wi-Fi kept dropping out, and the buffet breakfast was uninspiring. The bath was too small to get into, so I could only shower, and the fixed shower head was so close to the ceiling that I couldn’t adjust it. The bedroom air conditioning was noisy and couldn’t be controlled, and there was traffic noise outside.

At Amerian Park, I had a lot of problems. There was no answer when I called either their local number or their 800 number. The room keys failed four times, and they ended up moving me to another room. I’d requested parking and breakfast through Booking, but they don’t offer parking, and I had to pay for breakfast. The flooring was old and worn out, and the staff never apologized for any of it.

I was deeply disappointed with my stay at the Amerian in Cordoba, Argentina. The room floor was in bad shape, and the sink stank. The towels looked old and disgusting, and the room didn’t look clean. The breakfast was terrible, in a separate bar that was so dirty. What a shame for a four-star hotel. Maybe that was acceptable 100 years ago, but not in 2023. The service was poor, the quality was bad, and they wouldn’t refund my money. I booked in December 2022 and they took the full amount. When I said I wanted to leave the hotel, they told me I’d still have to pay the full amount. I’m upset about the way I was treated as a customer, though I’m sorry to post this. There was also an unsafe electrical light switch in the bad room, located above the bathtub. Could that cause electrocution? Water and electricity can kill. Management needs to know about customer safety. I posted a picture showing what it looks like. The rooms aren’t worth the price of a four-star hotel.

The room Wi-Fi barely handled email, and after booking I couldn't get anyone to answer by phone, email, chat, or messages on booking.com. That already felt disrespectful. But arriving at 5 am after a 72-hour trip from Australia was the worst part: my room, booked well ahead, had been given to someone else, and every other room was occupied. The only staff member there was condescending and arrogant, and wouldn't try to sort anything out, so I had to walk around looking for somewhere with a vacancy at that hour. This place feels way past its prime. Maybe it was good 40 years ago, but now it just seems run down.
