Hostel Mate

Lucila was incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to help. She kept our bags while we hiked in Los Gigantes and was ready to greet us when we returned. The hostel itself is clean, has great shared facilities, and sits right in the center. A really lovely place to stay.

I’ll always have a soft spot for this place and the people there. Thanks, Mate xxx. The staff were so friendly, and when they found out a guest had a birthday, they put together a party within half an hour. It really feels like home. My dorm room was basic but good, with lockers for everyone. I felt comfortable with the other guests and had no complaints about the room.

The kitchen helped me feel at home, even though I was far from my own country. The volunteers Agathe and Cansu were especially kind and welcoming, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. They even put on a Christmas party for us. My experience at Mate! was fantastic. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the modern bathrooms were well kept. I’d recommend it to backpackers or other visitors looking to stay in Cordoba for a few nights or longer.

I spent six nights here and liked the common area and kitchen. It’s also well placed: I could walk to the bus terminal and the city center. The space was clean, and it stayed quiet after midnight. Manu, the owner, was especially nice, and the staff were responsible.
