The staff handled a broken bathroom handle that left us stuck inside really well. It was a small mishap, and they sorted it out perfectly. Everyone was so kind and helpful, among the best hotel teams we’ve come across after staying in a lot of places. The reception staff also had great taste in music in the lounge. I didn’t expect to find another timecop1983 fan there, which was a fun bonus. I rarely write hotel reviews, but this place impressed me. I’d love to stay again.

The staff were very friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. It’s a lovely building with great views.

We were there as a group with our baby, and spent much of the stay relaxing on the terrace and taking in the lovely lake view. The hotel sits up on a hill and is wonderful. It is a little out of town, but that didn’t affect our experience. The staff were always friendly and helpful, including arranging a taxi and helping us order food from the restaurant. Highly recommend!

The restaurant menu is pretty limited, especially if you’re vegetarian, though there are a couple of walkable restaurants nearby with more choice. I also found the jacuzzi lukewarm. I’m starting to think that may just be how they like jacuzzis in Argentina? Even with those drawbacks, I’m already booking another stay for my next time passing through. For a similar price, I found this far better value than another hotel I tried in Calafate. Every room faces the lake, and the view from mine and from the Jacuzzi was amazing. It’s a great spot to rest before or after trekking. The lobby and breakfast room had a calm, mellow feel, and the other guests kept things peaceful, speaking quietly. I’m 38 and think I may have been the only guest under 60. I’ll take that any day over screaming kids or twenty-somethings partying. The staff were friendly and helped arrange taxis. You can walk into the center, but it takes a while.
