We've stayed here several times, in 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and coming back again in November 2025 says how much we like it. This time Gabriela and Jorgito looked after us well. Gabriela handled breakfast, with plenty of coffee and food to set us up for hiking. Jorgito also runs transport and took us to trailheads, including Rio Electrico (Piedra del Fraile). The hosteria is just off the main street, San Martin, so it's quiet, while the town's main restaurants are only a few minutes away on foot. The bedrooms are large, warm, and comfortable, and the super large bed gives great support. Since our last visit, reliable internet has also arrived in town, and it worked very well in Confin Patagonico. We can thoroughly recommend Hosteria Confin Patagonico for a relaxing, comfortable stay in El Chalten.

The owners were so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind that I felt well looked after throughout. My room was modern and very clean, and the new bed was extremely comfortable. I had an excellent stay at Hostería Confín Patagónico and would gladly return. Highly recommended.

Claudia made the stay especially enjoyable. She was so friendly and gave us helpful information about the area. We loved being here, and would highly recommend it. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location was great.

A big room with a big bed and bathtub, which was great for relaxing after a hike. They also come in during the day to make up the room.

Claudia was helpful and took time to explain the different hiking routes. She checked in with me in the morning to ask about my day and what I was planning, even though I don't speak much Spanish and she doesn't speak much English. The double room was pretty big, and the towels were really good. Breakfast wasn't that exciting for me, but it was the same kind of breakfast you find everywhere else in Argentina, so it was fine.
