The staff were amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable about hiking and the local area. The hotel is near the centre and the start of most hiking trails. By Argentine standards, the rooms were very comfortable, and the private bathroom and big breakfast buffet were great by local standards too.

The shower had reliably hot water, and the bathroom worked fine. Breakfast was simple but acceptable by Argentinian standards: oatmeal, fruit, toast with butter and jam, and coffee or tea. The rooms were clean, but worn, with narrow, short beds and old mattresses that weren’t very comfortable. Los Ñires in El Chaltén is a basic place that seems to have aged over the years. It’s on the town’s outer edge, which isn’t ideal, though everything is still walkable. It isn’t a bad hotel, but the value for the price is poor compared with other places in Patagonia and certainly worldwide.

Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the bed was a cozy place to recharge after hiking. Hosteria Los Ñires in El Chaltén was clean, comfortable, and well placed for exploring the trails. The staff made an effort to welcome me, shared useful advice, and made sure we had what we needed. It’s about an eight-minute walk from the Bus Station, a good mix of convenience and quiet. We’d definitely stay again. Vamos Banfield!

The staff were so kind and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and cozy, and the price was fair. The location was convenient, near the bus station and a short walk from the main hiking trails. Breakfast was good, with tasty homemade-style treats. The room was rustic and the beds were okay. There was no kitchen access, fridge, or microwave, but the staff helped us out with hot water and cutlery.

A quiet but central location and good value for money. The room was functional and spotlessly clean, with a hot shower. Breakfast was simple but tasty, with bread, cake, cereal, fruit, tea, and coffee. The staff were pleasant and let us leave our rucksacks for the day before we’d even checked in.
