The staff at Posada del Río are local, kind, and friendly, and they really do their best to make guests comfortable. But the lodging itself was a huge disappointment. We booked two air-conditioned cabins and got one with broken fans, dampness, and such an old, deteriorated state that it seemed close to falling apart. The pool was a radioactive-looking green, and despite the advertised grills, there weren’t any. The Google photos are out of date and show the property under previous owners. Cristian, the person handling bookings on WhatsApp and giving misleading information, is not the Cristian who works at the inn, though they share a name. He seems not to have visited in years. The new owners appear to have invested nothing. I can’t recommend it.

The cabin and the scenery were lovely, though I was only there for one night. A leak in the bathroom left the floor flooded and made things pretty uncomfortable. There was almost no Wi-Fi or cell signal either. Also, if you want chicken milanesa with rice for dinner, you have to reserve it before 5 PM.

The staff were incredibly kind, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a peaceful place with comfortable beds, a pool, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and all the amenities. The price seems very reasonable for what you get. There used to be a TV in the room, but it’s been removed, and that’s the one thing I missed. The birdsong even works as an alarm clock 😅😅. Highly recommend!

The pool has a wonderful view, and the setting is quiet and relaxing. The cabins are basic but comfortable, and the homemade food is delicious. A mini-fridge would be a nice addition. It’s very good value, and I’d return. Recommended.

A peaceful, beautiful spot with a pool, and you can eat there too. The cabins have air conditioning, fans, and Wi-Fi. I highly recommend it for a relaxing break.
