A complete disaster. They accepted my reservation and deposit, but when I showed up there was no room for me.

There was nowhere else to go because every hostel was full during the city's activities, so I was stuck there for all four nights. I came to La Plata for work, but I couldn't rest when I got back. People were drunk and yelling all night, and the bathrooms were filthy and broken. The place felt more like a nightclub than a hostel, and they clearly don't understand what a hostel should be. Breakfast was awful and very limited: just dulce de leche and butter. One day there wasn't even dulce de leche, another there was no coffee, and when we were lucky there was tea, but no milk. That went on the whole time. They never cleaned anything, not even the rooms. Then on my last day I came back to find people sleeping in my bed. They'd moved my things without telling reception, apparently deciding to shift me to another room. My damp towel had been put in a laundry bag I'd left on the bed, along with some sandals. A disaster. The rules and basic respect mean you shouldn't touch someone's things without asking. At a hostel, I DON'T RECOMMEND IT. Better bring a tent if you can't find somewhere else.
