Ensueño Cabañas

The privacy was poor: we could hear people talking and snoring in the rooms below and next door. The mattress also felt worn and uncomfortable, and the sheets and bedspread had stains. We barely used the tiny fridge, and the freezer was almost nonexistent. We had brought food in a cooler and had to cook some of it so it wouldn't spoil. Only two or three bottles fit, with a bit of maneuvering for any fruit or vegetables. There was trouble with the booking from the start. We had correctly given our February dates, but the person handling reservations entered January instead. That meant we were moved from the room we had booked and charged extra for the change, which went from 94 thousand to 96 and then 98 thousand pesos. We stayed in the room "Saturno." On our way there, the same person said he expected us the next day because that was what his calendar showed, and said we could still come that night if we paid another 100 thousand pesos. When we arrived, our WhatsApp messages confirmed the dates we'd requested, so he didn't charge that extra night after all, but we still paid the 98 thousand for a room change that wasn't our mistake. We used the jacuzzi once. When we drained it, people in the room below came to say water was leaking through their ceiling and asked us to stop. They said the cabins should have told us to drain it slowly, but nobody had. Someone came the next day to fix the leak, according to the staff, but we didn't use the jacuzzi again. The screen between it and the bathroom wouldn't close, either. We wouldn't return or recommend the place. The photos had raised our expectations, and the stay didn't live up to them.
