South Beach Hotel and Spa

Okay.

The rooms were nice, with excellent sheets and towels, a good mattress, an ocean view, and a small balcony. Parking was available, and the pool was lovely, though we were at the beach every day and luckily didn’t need it. Service was very friendly. The location is excellent, across from two beach bars and close to everything. The elevators broke down every day and need investment and repairs. Breakfast also needs improvement: better coffee and croissants, plus fruit, cold cuts, and orange juice. Thank you.

The pool bar was closed during the season, and the hotel needs maintenance: floors are broken, curtains stained, windows very dirty, and the elevator keeps breaking down. We asked for a sea-view room with a balcony, but there weren’t even benches to sit and enjoy the view. The menu has very few options, and they don’t allow outside food, while being very stingy with what they serve. Breakfast was terrible. The shower, bed, location, and view were excellent.

We had a delicious breakfast, and the dining-room waitress was very friendly. Reception were helpful throughout. The hotel itself was beautiful, with a comfortable bed and clean, fresh-smelling sheets and towels. The shower worked perfectly, and the air conditioning ran around the clock. We also had excellent massages, used the gym, and swam in the pool, whose water was just right.
