Petacular!!!!!!

I stayed here on vacation in Mar del Plata a few years ago, and it was honestly awful, haha. It was so ugly I laughed at what I’d booked. I’d reserved through Booking.com, where the photos and reviews looked decent, but when we arrived we nearly died. Three things had me thinking, “WTF.” First, while we were sleeping, they didn’t knock before changing the mattress. They should’ve done it sooner. Second, there was a sign in the room basically saying that if you pick a cheap hotel, you shouldn’t leave a bad review because you already know what service to expect. Third, the bathroom: the shower was above the toilet, so you could poop and shower at the same time, haha. It was truly disgusting. The comforters were old and the sheets were moth-eaten. I couldn’t stand showering barefoot, so I wore Crocs for everything. Three years later, I came back to Mar del Plata and we passed by. It was still the same, haha. I’d look for somewhere else. This time we stayed at the “Delfín Hotel,” which is much cheaper than what this hotel currently charges, and the price to quality ratio is excellent. It’s not luxurious, but next to this place it looks like a five-star hotel.

For a very reasonable price, it gives you what it promises. The staff are efficient and straightforward, and I liked the place overall. The bathroom is amusingly tiny, but you’re there to explore, not spend your time in the bathroom or bed, so it works well for a stay. The downside is the shared refrigerator. Maybe they’ll add smaller ones in the rooms later for more privacy.

The beach and town center are close, which is the hotel’s best feature. Everything else was terrible. There was a lot of dampness, and our bathroom leaked water into the room. I don’t recommend it.
