Bagu Hotel Santander

The celiac breakfast was the most unusual we've had. Instead of rice cakes, they brought a small plate with pastries, cheese sticks, and shortbread. The receptionists were also lovely and helpful, and they took good care of our luggage when we arrived before check-in, which I've had trouble with at other hotels in this category. There are hot showers, comfortable beds, a TV in the room, and air conditioning. We arrived with low expectations, but my partner and I have been pleasantly surprised. For a 3-star hotel, we think it's the best. The rooms could use some improvements, though. Space is limited, so there may not be much to do beyond adding a safe or a few small amenities. We're very happy so far.

Just a few blocks from the coast, and breakfast was delicious. The woman at breakfast and the receptionist on the morning shift were both really friendly, and they refilled things as soon as they ran out. The rooms could have been cleaner, though. There were cobwebs, the shower screen was scratched, and there was no toilet paper. Still, it was very good overall.

The only decent thing was the location across from the shopping center. The hotel's image doesn't match what you get, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here. Breakfast was just hot water and a stale croissant. The bathroom and room were cramped, there was barely any hot water, the TV only came on now and then, and the elevator was barely working. The room and guest service were both poor and disappointing. One receptionist wouldn't speak to us and gave us a dirty look when we came in.

Absolutely awful. The rooms were run down, the bathrooms disgusting, and there seemed to be no maintenance. At 3 a.m. I had to go out and buy Lysol because my whole body was itching. The sheets looked like they had crabs in them. It felt disgusting and unhygienic. Never come here!
