It's been years since I was in that area, and I thought the place had changed its name. Last time I saw it, it was in terrible shape, needing a lot of work and looking almost abandoned. I hope it's been fixed up since then. The location in Punta Mogotes is spectacular, right across from the beaches, and it used to be a popular surfer spot.
I stayed there from 2014 to 2017. The rooms were nothing special, but I liked the place itself, especially its excellent location and family-friendly feel, and the prices were good. Breakfast was included, there was a private garage, and the view over the Punta Mogotes complex was excellent. I heard it was sold in 2018 and haven't returned. As of 2022, I don't know whether it still welcomes tourists.
It's run down, though the location in the surf area is excellent. I wasn't expecting much more, and the price is reasonable. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
They provided everything I'd booked, and it's a very nice hotel. I'd recommend it.
It's a hostel with beds, hot and cold water in the bathrooms, and breakfast. Don't expect much beyond that.
