The location earned a star: it's right by the city center, a few blocks from the pedestrian area, and having parking matters when staying in Mendoza. The hot water also gets a star. The beds were in poor condition. The double bed was just two single mattresses pushed together under a hand-sewn cover. As a couple, we ended up lying between the mattresses in the middle of the night. The apartment floor was dirty, and the shower had no mat and was slippery. The building is old, and the elevators need maintenance because they stop unevenly. Service was also a problem. They asked us to report our arrival time and when we'd enter the city, which made no sense. A neighbor let us in, and we waited in the parking garage.

I booked through Booking.com on January 10th, during a hot week in Mendoza, and the stay was terrible. The living-room air conditioner wasn't working properly, and they insisted it be set to only 24 degrees Celsius. One bedroom had a ceiling fan, while the other had no fan at all, so I had to ask for at least a standing one. On the second day the building elevator broke, and they offered no solution. I chose to leave, but they refused to refund the days I wouldn't be staying. Booking.com refunded part of the money after I complained. The person in charge said they didn't have the money then and told me to come back later. First he said he wasn't in town, then he stopped replying after I sent my bank details for the transfer. I hope this helps someone.

The owners run the place themselves and are attentive whenever you have a question or need something. It's in an excellent spot, right in central Mendoza, though some services and amenities could use improvement.

Don't go. At Chile 1451, Carlos, the owner, offers mattresses with springs sticking out, an incomplete kitchen, and a water heater that barely gives you enough for a shower. Terrible.
