I'm not sure it deserves a full 5, for the reasons below, but the value, atmosphere, and price are definitely better than the current 4.2 rating suggests. The mattresses are very old, and the beds squeak a bit, though they're stable. That should probably bring the rating down quite a lot, but the place is clean and really captures the hostel spirit. My back didn't hurt, so I'd like to give it some support. There are lots of good things too. Dinner is served most nights, with homemade asado, empanadas, pizza, and other dishes at a fair price. Sometimes it's at Campo Base, sometimes at another hostel, and it's a great way to meet people. There's open wine all day, actually. Breakfast is good too, with hot pastries. The place is clean, and my room had air conditioning and a large locker. The staff are very friendly and kind. It's open 24/7, and they make sure the curfew is followed. I can't comment on the kitchen since I ate the dinners, or on the bathrooms, which are small but functional.

The location in the center was great, breakfast was free, and the staff were very friendly. Our room had air conditioning, but it wasn't in great shape and seemed due for refurbishment. The bathroom was really dirty, with lots of mould, so we didn't dare shower. There were papers in the bin and a dirty towel hanging up. The balcony was shared with another room, and they could see right inside if they wanted. It felt more like a storage area. There was also a strong smell of smoke coming from downstairs.

A really good hostel, close to the center, with nice people and nice rooms. The service is the best, and they even offer free wine in the evening. I really recommend it.

The rooms are really good for the price, and the staff are incredibly nice. They come up with lots of fun activities, so it never gets boring. The wine is really good too. I'd recommend staying here!

I planned to stay just one night, but the great vibe and the staff, who were so much fun and helpful, made me want to stay. The whole hostel could join the really good asado nights, and there was free wine too. Loved this place and would highly recommend it.
