Hostel Mendoza Inn

The atmosphere was fun and peaceful, and the price was so low that it felt like good value. The facilities are great: ping pong, foosball, a TV, a computer, a big kitchen, and even a pool. Most of all, the staff were really nice and helpful. It sometimes didn’t feel very clean, but with so many good things going for it, I’d still highly recommend Mendoza Inn!

It’s cheap and in a hip, modern part of town, within walking distance of breweries and places to eat. Breakfast comes with croissants, tea, fresh fruit, and cereal. The mattresses were uncomfortable, the bath towels smelled, the AC made me sick, and there was only one shower for the whole floor.

The place was filthy and had bed bugs. We were in a dorm at the back, and after two days my girlfriend had come up in awful bites. We asked to change rooms, so they put us in a private one. Within ten minutes, just looking around the bed, we found five bugs. We left straight away. The worst part was the reception guy’s reaction. He didn’t seem surprised or concerned, as though he already knew this was a problem.

There’s a pool, though it’s small, plus ping pong and foosball. The people were good. On the downside, there weren’t enough toilets or showers, the staff weren’t helpful, the kitchen was small, and lots of things were broken.
