We couldn't get a proper meal until 8:30 pm, since the restaurant only had bar food before then. That's late for international travelers who eat earlier than Argentinians, and hamburgers weren't what we wanted. Once dinner was available, though, the Pacu was very good.

We came hoping for a relaxing family holiday, but left more stressed than when we arrived. The room wasn't very clean, and I wouldn't look under the bed. The TV and amenities were old, though the service itself was okay. At checkout, they blamed us for a broken curtain that nobody had mentioned before, and it became our word against theirs. When we break something, we fix it, but we hadn't broken that. They took ten minutes to decide to charge us 1,500 pesos instead of the “normal” 2,000, as if that were generous. We felt ashamed by the way they treated us. If you still choose to stay, photograph anything old or broken and report every problem to reception, or they may charge you for it.

The room was fine and the hotel was clean, though mine smelled of cigarette smoke. The river view from the rooms is beautiful, and to me this is easily the best hotel in Paraná. The restaurant downstairs was okay, but there’s a better one around the corner.

The city and river views are incredible, and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was just okay, which is why I took off a star.
