Palmares del Paso

The place itself is beautiful, with a pool and everything. But then they hit us with a huge electricity charge on top. They quoted one price and charged us an exorbitant amount, billing the electricity separately.

It's quiet and relatively close to both the beach and city center. The place is comfortable for a stay with children, but the duplexes were very dirty and the shared areas weren't maintained. If I come back, I'll look for somewhere else.

Marina and Zulma were excellent, and the place itself is beautiful and peaceful, with a perfect pool and lovely common areas. Our stay was difficult because of a group of families who were abusive, disrespectful, and filthy. They acted as if nobody else was there, played loud music, took over the communal barbecue area, and left it a pigsty. There were food scraps all over the grass and trash on both tables. Even after the person in charge warned them, they kept being inconsiderate. It's a shame, since this would be a beautiful place for a family stay. I suggest providing an individual grill for the one cabin without one, so guests there can enjoy a barbecue.

The outdoor areas are very nice and well maintained, and the duplexes are roomy and comfortable, with air conditioning in the bedrooms and living/dining room. It's a quiet place with reasonably good amenities. The bedrooms need mosquito nets, though, and the whole duplex could use a general cleaning.
