The staff were friendly, but their lack of experience showed. They promised to have breakfast ready early, but when we got up and went to the dining room there was nothing. The receptionist told us to make ourselves some tea, even though we'd paid for a large breakfast. They also charge 20 pesos for hot water, which feels really stingy. For the price per night, the service was very poor. There is no elevator, so rooms on the upper floors are uncomfortable to reach. The gym is a lie, since everything is broken. The pool is surrounded by very high walls and gets sun only briefly during the day, so it wasn't the pool experience we wanted. Breakfast had some variety but wasn't great or anything special.

The two people running the place are doing everything themselves, from cleaning and serving breakfast to tidying up and dealing with problems. They're overwhelmed, and a hotel this size needs more staff. The infrastructure has potential, but it's in a state of disrepair. The view onto the main street is a mixed bag: you're only a block from everything, but outdoor bands play on weekends.

The service was very poor, with issues all over the place. There's no parking, even though it was advertised, and the room cleaning was minimal. The air conditioning was only switched on now and then, and we had to call two or three times to get it turned off. The area advertised as a gym was actually a laundry room. At breakfast, some spoons were used or badly cleaned, and we even found jam in our cups.

The service was very friendly, and they offer gluten-free breakfast. There are six parking spaces, so getting there early makes parking easy. The only issue for me was the central air conditioning. There's no switch in the room, so you have to ask reception to turn it on or off.

The location is hard to beat, right in the center. The room was comfortable, and the mattress and pillow were great. Just know that it's above a pizzeria with shows, so there's noise if that's a concern. There's also a small pool and gym area. I recommend it, though there are more stairs than I like.
